Youth Course

Team Leader - Lynne Gackle

  • This is the strand geared to high school aged singers, whether they usually sing in a church or not. It suits young people with some vocal background or some ability to read music.
  • Singing is just one of the activities. Other exciting and interesting events have been planned – both musical and social
  • Coming to such an event can be daunting for an individual. If you do come alone we will ensure that you meet new and friendly people right from the first moment you arrive. However, why not ask a friend to come with you and come together
  • The daily schedule generally consists of:
    • Morning Rehearsals with Lynne Gackle
    • Morning Tea
    • Rehearsals with Lynne Gackle
    • Lunch
    • Activities
    • Afternoon Tea
    • Rehearsal
    • Dinner
    • Evening Social activities or performances

  • Dates: The stream commences on Saturday morning January 3rd and concludes on Friday evening January 9th. An optional social activity (a trip to the Gold Coast) is being planned for Saturday January 10th
  • Accommodation: Non-local participants will be housed at St John’s College (as will many of the adult course). Daily rehearsals will be centered on the campus of St Peters Lutheran College, Indooroopilly. Supervision is provided by a team of four high school music teachers, all experienced in managing an exciting vacation such as this
