Developing a Singing Community

Team Leader - Nicholas Bannan

• This stream is for those are interested in developing interest in singing in the Australian culture – a culture which is either indifferent to singing, or actively hostile!  Thus it would be of interest to church choir directors, cantors, clergy, song leaders, but also to school teachers, community choir directors, arts administrators, therapists in senior citizens’ homes, etc
• The daily schedule generally consists of:
• Optional commencement activities for an hour (morning prayer, coffee and bagels, devotions and announcements)
• Plenary Session
• Morning Tea
• Session with Nicholas Bannan
• Lunch
• Elective session (most probably with Nicholas Bannan, but delegates could choose another elective session)
• Afternoon Tea
• Second afternoon session (this varies according to the day – it could be another session with Nicholas Bannan, or could be a choir rehearsal)
• Performance or Lecture
• Dinner
• Evening Service or Performance
