• This stream is open to those in the Australian church who are in significant leadership or performance positions. Delegates in this stream might be Directors of Music, conductors or organists in Cathedrals or musically “high level” parish churches. But they might also be clergy, lecturers in choral music, organ, church music, or other areas at universities or conservatories.
• At the time of writing (early September) the organising committee has deliberately refrained from assigning “content” to this stream - we want to gauge the extent of the interest first, and we also wish to “tailor” the stream to the needs of those who come. However, we believe that the following statements will give you an insight into the character of this stream:
• Delegates will probably attend commencement exercises and plenary session each morning, plus the evening services and concerts.
• Delegates may attend some of the afternoon electives and performances
• Other “content” will include:
• Presentations by the Festival major presenters
• Presentations by experts within the delegates themselves
• Round table discussions concerning issues raised within such presentations
• Given the presence of a number of high level church musicians – e.g. Michael Fulcher from New Zealand, Christopher Willcock from Melbourne, Lindsay Gray (new RSCM Director from UK), there will be ample time given for informal discussion
